Having just received issue 127 and having renewed my subscription I just wanted to thank you and everyone involved with the magazine. I am fortunate to have every issue from number 1 and count the collection among my most precious possessions. I was not fortunate enough to meet Steven Piercey but am sure that he is proud of what the magazine has achieved since 1979. Best wishes from the Costa Del Sol.

thanks for agreat mag all off you at propliner.need back issues 1,3,5,8,to buy or just read.(photo copies would do)have just visited chandler az and what a sorry site from old.been a spotter from age 9 now just 65.have many memories from all these years.thanks :!cool:

Great magazine,had the pleasure of meeting Steve Piercey once at an airshow. Great that the magazine survives with good stories and photographs. Superb articles on the Spantax,Trans Europa and TAE piston days. My uncle took me to Stansted c.1964 and watched a Martinair DC-7C start up and depart,when I was 11.

in 1966 I took a Cosmos Holiday to Italy near the border with Monaco. My family and I flew out from Manston on Air Ferry DC-6 G-APNO and returned on G-APNP. These were my first flights and, while exciting, did not register with me until i went propliner crazy in the mid 1970s. Wish I had a camera then..
I met Steven Piercey at Miami Airport and we became friends. He roped me in to obtain and supply a number of pictures for early editions of Propliner - including XA-NUW the DC-4M at Mexico City, the Chilean DC-6 line up at Opa Locka and the Constellations at Stephenville. I sat next to Steven on his organised enthusiast flight from LGW on DC-6 HB-IBS. Many know that this aircraft is actually ex G-APNO, flew in Biafra and had patched up bullet holes in the fuselage. Ah memories....

I am glad to see that the magazine is still being published. Does anyone have some back issues available (nos. 1 & 2 and from 12 onwards)?

Can anyone shed some light on a travel experience I had as a child in the 1960's? My family and I flew from Manston (Kent) to Italy on board a DC6b, my father tells me that the airline was named Air Bridge Charter but I can't find any record of this company, can anyone help?
